This page is the portal into the area of my website that describes how to restore and maintain Playfields.

Most pinball machines I get are usually in horrible shape, so I have to do a total shop to the Playfield.  Once the initial, thorough shopping has been done then I just perform normal maintenance.

The procedures closely follow the steps described in Clay's document: http://www.marvin3m.com/restore/index.htm

This area of my website verbally describes and shows pictures of the following tasks:

Mylar Removal
Playfield Touchups
Playfield Clear Coating
Plastic Reproduction
Backglass Sealing
Backglass Touchups

In another section of my website I have a detail listing of EVERYTHING that goes into "Shopping A Pin".  This covers the simplest task of wiping down a Playfield to all the activities involved in a total restoration.  These lists are a good set of reference materials to determine EXACTLY what is going to be done to your pin when someone says they will "shop it".
