This page details the Clear Coating process I performed on a 1977 Bally Eight Ball Playfield. The procedure closely follows the steps described in Clay's document: http://www.marvin3m.com/restore/index.htm I picked up the Eight Ball playfield from someone parting out a game. The Playfield was in good shape except for a bag of sugar was sitting on the board by the spinner target (see picture). The sugar somehow became saturated and permanently became attached to the PF. To see how I removed the sugar that was stuck to the Playfield and touched up the Playfield go to Playfield Touchups. The Playfield also had the slingshot Mylars installed. To see how I removed the Mylar go to Mylar Removal. To see all of the Products and Tools I used to Clear Coat the Playfield go to Tools/Products.
The rest of this page is under construction and will be finished during the Spring of 2002.
